Michael S. Wilk has been again been named to the "Super Lawyers" list in Texas Monthly's publication, Texas Super Lawyers for 2009.  This marks the seventh consecutive year Michael has achieved this honor  in the practice area of alternative dispute resolution.

Michael J. Durrschmidt was named to the "Super Lawers" list in Texas Monthly's publication, Texas Super Lawyers in 2009 in the practice area of Bankruptcy and Work-outs.  This marks Mike's sixth consecutive year to be on the list.

William ("Pat") Huttenbach received his B.A. from Rice University in 1992. During college and afterwards, Pat worked at Vector Marketing Corporation, where he was responsible for opening up sales training offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Charleston, South Carolina; and Savannah, Georgia. 

Additionally, he participates in volunteer activities, such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Speakers Committee and as a former officer of the Association of Rice Alumni.

The Firm congratulates Pat Huttenbach for being awarded the 2006 Rice University Alumni Builders Award.  The Award is to provide recognition for those young alumni who have rendered extraordinary service to the University.  Pat provided significant, sustained, voluntary contributions of energy, time, and creativity towards the advancement of the University.

Joe has authored articles on professionalism in the legal profession which have been published in newspapers and legal magazines in Houston and in other parts of the country. Joe brings to Hirsch & Westheimer a wealth of experience in the handling of business litigation of all degrees of complexity. 

Joe and his lovely wife Edwina have written a book titled "Choose Love For Life." Melissa N. Sternfels was recognized as the 2006 Chair of the HYLA's Aspiring Youth Program Committee.  The  Houston Young Lawyers Association was founded in 1937 to promote service to the community and the legal profession.  It is because of the ideas, enthusiam and commitment of HYLA Committee Chairs, like Melissa, that HYLA wins awards locally and nationally as an outstanding young lawyers association. Melissa is a well-recognized leader among the young lawyers in Houston.  HYLA and Hirsch & Westheimer appreciates her involvement.

Melissa was named one of the Texas Rising Stars Super Lawyers for 2006.
